Balatonmária, Close to The Balaton Lakeshore

The cafe's outdoor tent unit recalls the mood of the old lakeshore feelings. On the main facade of this open sided tent-roof building a sun-dial mesaures the time. This cafe has been built on behalf of an old friend of mine.

Malom Cafe

Salgótarján, 2002

This cafe was made in the building of an old mill. I tried to keep the touch of that old factory-feeling which meant that I had to design for example special windows with iron-frames. Fixing the glass we used putty as it was common decades ago.
